A mail written by a future
faculty member of NILS to the director.
Dear Sir,
Thank you for the offer. I would be delighted to join the NILS as a
faculty for the A-Z of Having a Car course.
As you mentioned in your mail, it will also be most convenient for me to
have a personal discussion with you regarding finer details. Please advise a
suitable time for the same.
It will be very helpful if you could send me a syllabus or a course guideline
for the paper that I am to teach (Paper II, Buying a Car).
Buying a car is a practical process and mere theory will not enable
participants to actually go out and buy a car. In this regard I would like to
know if the following field trips will be possible to organize:
i) At least three trips to three different parts of the city to observe “People
and the cars they drive.” These trips could help participants to realize that cars
are primarily for commuting and secondarily for showing off.
ii) At least two trips to two car manufacturers’ showrooms and two trips
to two garages of used car dealers. These trips could save the participants from
being robbed in daylight.
I will look forward to meeting you at your office and discuss about the
field trips in more details.
With best regards and thanks,
(For reference please see post 102)
